Right now we are looking for a talented Data Analyst - Online Sales & Service to join our winning team.
Primary Accountabilities
The Sales and Service Data Analyst is primarily responsible for the Day-to-Day reporting of transactions on Rogers.com. The Data Analyst’s role is to direct, evaluate, review, and manage a variety of data/database resources and services for Rogers.com while ensuring high levels of data quality and reporting accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities
Database and List Management
- The Sales and Service Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the offline reporting system (ORS). As such, the Sales and Service Data Analyst is eDirect’s first point of contact for the ORS for troubleshooting and escalating matters appropriately. As the IT liaison, the Sales and Service Data Analyst works with IT to resolve any issues related to the ORS. In addition, the Sales and Service Data Analyst will set up eDirect resources with access to the ORS.
- The Sales and Service Data Analyst is also responsible for scrubbing, formatting and sending the opt-in e-mail addresses from rogers.com on a monthly basis to the Customer Based Management (CBM) group
- In supporting e-mail marketing campaigns, the Sales and Service Data Analyst pulls, scrubs and compiles e-mail list for various campaigns, stakeholders, etc. (ORS e-mail list management)
Reporting
- Following a standard reporting schedule, the Sales and Service Data Analyst reports on Site Traffic, Sales and Service results, Web Metrics, etc, using various tools such as Coremetrics, Power Play, Cognos 8 Report Studio, MRE (Web Focus / V21).
- In addition, the Sales and Service Data Analyst will produce ad-hoc, custom reports for various internal clients and external stakeholders.
Analysis
- Through the analysis of web metrics, the Sales and Service Data Analyst identifies trends, issues and opportunities to improve Site Performance, Online Sales, Service and the overall User Experience.
Development
- As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), the Sales and Service Data Analyst is aware of and implements best practices, is active in the Analytics community and is able to identify industry trends. Moreover, the Sales and Service Data Analyst is committed to continuous learning at the personal and professional levels.
- The Sales and Service Data Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.

Job Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
-
Broad knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Excellent understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments.
- Experience with tier-one applications, databases, and data warehouses, such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Crystal, SAP, Teradata, and so on.
- Strong data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
- Expertise with BI tools, such as Cognos 8 Report Studio or Business Objects.
- Strong understanding of data mining models, structures, theories, principles, and practices and/or direct experience with SAS a plus.
- In-depth experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.
- Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers.
- Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience.
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Formal Education & Certification
